Newspaper clipping from: The West Virginia Hillbilly, v.12:no.12 (1971:Mar.20). Clipping folder has typewritten title: Visit to the Blackwater country. An edited version of Davis' travel account originally published in Harper's Magazine. "The original story has been cut down to eliminate extraneous material. As far as the editor was able to tell, the illustrations were done by divers hands, all of them Harper's staffmen and appratently none was done by a West Virginian. A magnifying glass was used hopefully to turn up the signature of Porte Crayon, but to no avail."
